THE WILL JACOBS BAND is a modern Blues/Rock/R&B band. Originally formed in Chicago by Will Jacobs, the band is known for their live, powerful performances. Using a blend of classic and original tunes, their shows run the gamut from fast & fiery instrumentals to intensely sensitive ballads.

A regular performer in Chicago's music scene since he was 13, Will spent the past seven years honing his soulful style the old-fashioned way – four years as guitarist for Grammy-winning NTHS jazz band, playing blues/rock/jazz clubs, sitting in with Chicago’s finest bluesmen and as a guitarist in a Southside Chicago gospel band. These combined experiences led him to his studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston in 2011.

Will’s original band, "Dirty Deal" attracted both local and international attention. In 2009, they performed at the International Blues Showcase in Memphis (having won the Chicago Blues Challenge-youth division). Competing again in the adult division in 2011, they left a mark because of Will’s soulful vocal chops and guitar improvisational talents coupled with the band’s rockin’, blues-infused sound.

Will built this new band in a flexible way allowing customization for any size venue or show. Since the group is comprised of skilled, experienced musicians, performance formats can be as small as a trio (guitar, bass, drums), a slightly fuller quartet (guitar, bass, drums, rhythm guitar or keyboard) or a large 8-10-piece band (lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass, drums, 3-4 horn section, keyboard, percussion).

As a result, in the past couple years the Will Jacobs Band has delivered their authentic, hi-energy experience – as headliner for large corporate events and conferences (Crate & Barrel Corporation’s 50th Anniversary celebration and for the CUSP2012 conference), opened for international blues stars (Billy Branch, Eddy Clearwater and Tommy Castro), headlined on festival stages (Chicago Bluesfest, Chicago Skydive Summerfest) and performed at top clubs in Chicago, Memphis and Boston.
