No stranger to performance stages, Will honed his chops the old-fashioned way – experience.
At 12 years old he was gigging in clubs backing many of Chicago's finest blues men and women at the same time playing in a Grammy-winning high school jazz band. Attracting local and international attention in 2009, his first band (Dirty Deal) performed at the International Blues Showcase in Memphis after having won the Chicago Blues Challenge-youth division. They competed again in the Chicago Blues Challenge-adult division in 2011, leaving their mark due to Will’s mature improvisational skills and vocal talents coupled with the band’s blues-infused sound. These combined experienced led him to study music at Berklee College of Music in Boston in 2011 performing with international stars such as George Clinton.
Now back in Chicago, his new band is focused on bringing an exciting blues & soul experience to their audiences and client's events. Built with the flexibility to customize for any size venue or show, performance formats can be intimate (trio of guitar, bass, drums), slightly fuller (quartet of guitar, bass, drums, rhythm guitar or keyboard) or a large concert (8-10 piece band of lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass, drums, 3-4 horn section, keyboard, percussion).
Whether headlining for large corporate events and conferences (Crate & Barrel Corporation’s 50th Anniversary celebration and for the CUSP2012 conference), opening for international blues stars (Carl Weathersby, Eddy Clearwater, Tommy Castro, Ronnie Hicks Band, Toronzo Cannon, Linsey Alexander, JW Williams, Billy Branch, Eddy Clearwater), festival stage appearances (Chicago Bluesfest, Chicago Skydive Summerfest) or performing at top clubs in Chicago, Memphis and Boston.
